Yeah we are so guilty of thinking we could trust our politicians to be honest and look after our interests, we didn't read the treaties we just got on with the day job. Maybe when 12 year olds get the vote they will be more street wise and diligent, they would never be influenced by big business and an agenda driven media, now would they?

Why do people think the EU has been a success, what exactly has it been successful in when viewed from the perspective of the majority of average EU citizens.
4
Nice try Tommy only thing is the referendum was a simple binary choice on whether people wanted to be British or European, nothing to really tax the brain on in deciding how to vote once you tune out the bullshit.

The tide is finally turning and all suicidal bullshitters will be washed away to leave a clean beach.

That is the unanimous opinion of all Europeans is it.

I thought companies went to Ireland for the low tax regime. So what is bad about being in the EU, from a personal viewpoint which is what really matters our country is flooded with polluting VW and BMW diesel cars which are underpriced due to the EURO's value being way below what Germanies own currency would be partly as a result of our membership fee. The country is grossly overpopulated due largely to immigration and democracy is sidelined for the benefit of elitist agendas and multinationals.

Are we really going to stop paying farmers to not grow food on their land? We could end up getting rid of food banks and paying people benefits to buy food LOL they could be bused to the farms and told to pick their own.

The EU AND REMAINERS MADE IT SO.

Illogical, there would be no Brexit if there were no EU for the remainers to try and cling to.

Ah shame, so many inadequates clinging to an inviable dream they thought would deliver their idea of utopia. wake up and smell the the coffee, the EU has peaked it was never properly thought through, to achieve it's ambitions would take centuries and need leaders of a culture the likes of which are not compatible with modern times. It was conceived probably 40 or more years too late, the times have not been favourable for it's success fortunately life is more fun than they would allow if they could control it. Vive diversity, vive freedom, vive UK.

Well we are still part of the project, Brexit might not happen and the redesign of what it means to be human and European can continue. Surely that will rebuild your self confidence and belief in your fellow man. Who needs democracy really, I ask you.

@divinity176 ''One of the deepest recessions in Europe'' could be right I suppose as we are starting with a stronger economy than most of Europe, depending on how you look at it falling to the level of the Greek, Italian and other many moribund economies of Europe would be a big fall. Then we could export all illegal immigrants and stop paying farmers to not produce food etc which would put us in a very good position to recover funded by halving the foreign aid budget hiking tarrifs on German cars and other luxury goods for a start.
