  7. There is no liability to pay further contributions into a pension fund once a company is wound up, the pensions should be payed out of contributions already made. If the fund is in deficit then the EU should pay.

Basically you are saying that as long as Germany gets what it wants from the EU provided it is enough they will behave themselves if not they will attempt to increase their power by getting into bed with Putin. Can't really see that ending well and anyway China would be an interested party. So much for the PC bullshit they continually spout it all comes down to money and power at the end of the day, they just use whatever tools are at hand or can be created to deceive the people. Germany is interesting but a bit of an enigma to me I can't believe the country is not still affected by the East/West division that was but how this is affecting people is not discussed, is it really a united Germany? If they are really nationalistic the sooner the EU collapses the better. Russia doesn't have the wealth to interfere in the mess that would be created, America would probably be the biggest beneficiary and the biggest help but how bad things would have to get before this would be acceptable to Europe is anybodies guess, a sovereign UK would be in a good position to influence events if we had good enough leaders.

Can only hope Brexit and Trump are sufficient stimulus to lead to western self preservation through reasserting capitalism as espoused by Adam Smith the recognition of the importance of and need to support national identities and refocusing on quality of life in place hyper consumerism and the throwaway culture. Craving instant gratification as we do today is a recipe for the growing chaos evident everywhere.
