Look after yourself and if every one who is capable does the same you'd find most problems would disappear and instead of thinking about others problems you would be doing something useful to solve them.

If you can see the EU'S similarities with the USSR you will understand why we are leaving and why the EU will not exist in anything like it's current form in 30 years time.

May is preferable to the sober serious adulterous wooden self hating dim wit that is head of another political party.

The TUC conference?

Depends on your definition.

Blair is the architect of our current dystopia what he did in ten years will take at least 50 years to erase if it's even possible.

Say a prayer for the EU.

It's great to know there will be no ill effects for the EU after we leave, kinder makes you wonder why we were such a big contributor to their budget. It really does ease my conscience to know I don't have to feel guilty.

No one should expect the EU to work against it's own interests, but what it considers it's interests to be and who benefits and by how much should be clearer. As should it's order of priorities, if all these topics were more openly discussed and major issues agreed on a country by country basis with referendums to gauge public opinion and determine policy there might be less dissent. We will observe from the outside with interest and cooperate where it is in our interest.

MissKimSinger Go and research Venezuela come back when you can explain how they got to their present situation and then tell me how we will benefit from Labours manifesto.

Mike Burden hahaha! You haven't got a clue have you, people who are spoon fed all their lives and told what to do do not create the wealth and innovation that makes societies prosper. Why do you think the richest 1% are paying 75% of tax income when they could just transfer their money to a tax haven sit back and laugh at people like you. The state of the NHS today is a disgrace thanks Blair nothing to show for all the money he threw at it apart from a bloated administration that has got no interest in cutting waste and an over reliance on foreigners due to his disastrous policies on education with emphasis on uni for everyone and devaluing the people who really make society work.
1
Something did happen we had a current account surplus for a couple of quarters even after paying the interest on the trillion debt we have. What's your solution to the problem? Borrow some more money.
1
Yeh i've been saving my money for my old age.

Despot is that the sort of person who says public schools are bad but as soon as they can afford to sends their kids there, or says grammar schools are bad but sends their kids there if they can.

Arcadia just keep watching Love Island and save up for a butt job. That's all the honesty most people need.

Push the button now it's time to wipe out humanity and let nature take over.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. May will do whatever is the will of the people she is careful, patient and British.

The Tory party is for old people who have experience of living and are intelligent enough to know what makes for a good quality of life.
1
Some governments make bad decisions with good intentions, some governments are inherently evil and some make bad decisions because they are inept or have a flawed ideology. I am happy I live in England with a Tory government that doesn't try to execute people like Russia does or attempt to control other civilised countries.
1
How come they haven't got you yet?
1
The UK is not quite destroyed yet that's why we won the referendum but you can tell from the result it was getting close.
1
What is an absolute joke is the state of the economies in Italy, Spain and Greece plus the corruption and graft of the EU administration and it's willingness to accept and do anything to preserve it's ideological goals which the majority of people are coming to realise will not be to their advantage.

Too many people don't understand the effect of debt, whatever you borrow has to be paid back plus the interest. Borrow £1k at 20% apr and you have to pay £16.66 a month just to keep the debt from getting bigger so if that £1k isn't earning you £16.66 a month you're worse off than before you borrowed it. Can you believe some people borrow money at 500% so they would need to earn £416.66 a month to be not worse off and still have to pay the £1k back. Obviously people can go bankrupt and be destitute turn to crime or do lots of other things, but when governments go bankrupt there is no safety net if they cannot show they have the ability to turn the country around then you get problems like Venezuela where prices double every month. They are real people, Venezuela is a real country with the largest oil reserves in the world they just elected a government that didn't understand debt.

Good job we are in the EU or else we'd all be homeless and starving while looking at those unaffordable necessities on e-bay and Amazon wishing we'd got the latest greatest I phone.
1
Spoken like a true European Captain all you left out was the pound increasing in value by 50% against the Euro and Italy, Greece and Spain returning to their own currencies so we'd have cheap holidays and even cheaper imports.

It will probably begin to change within 5 years I think but what the eventual entity will look like will no doubt hold a few surprises.

logik100. The 2 stand out ones are firstly it operates a command economy (the CAP, and the fishing industry) are examples that come to mind. Second is the determination to override peoples democracy. It is using more sophisticated evolved methods but the end result is the same so it is doomed to fail, just how badly or messy is the main concern.
1
logik100. There is no such thing as lying in the context of issues where opinions are expressed, the globalist elite who manage and administrate to suit their priorities are under threat so they will attempt to preserve their positions and influence. There will be no direct benefit to such people and institutions from Brexit and there may well be some changes that they find to their disadvantage, Brexit has complex and far reaching effects for the global economy however much the established operators try to downplay it. Your attempt to analyse what it means by repeating propaganda from vested interests adds nothing to understanding what the future could be and what we need to do to make it better.

The WTO are basing their opinions on what is history, the EU are going to do a good deal with us because it will be slightly better for them than to have no deal. Just listen to them start to change their tune now that project fear has failed, a deal will give them breathing space to reform the EU and prepare to downsize the Euro zone if they have the necessary intelligence and best intentions. Who runs the EU will be changing soon anyway so whatever they decide it will not be such a big economic concern for us and no threat to our democracy.

CastAirLead I agree a very good speech, Mays only problem IMO is that she is more of a manager than a leader but as she is managing quite well and appears pragmatic, provided she has the right advisers she should get there in the end. I think she has the right instincts and understands the importance of democracy so I remain optimistic.

Where does Israel get it's oil?

The UK has been diced and sliced by the cult of diversity and multiculturalism, attempting to accommodate and push for equal prominence and influence for every human foible will if it continues destroy the foundations of our current society and prepare the ground for a new monotheistic culture of some description. There is a long way to go before we will accept such an outcome but human society cannot exist in an absence of moral and legal certainty and needs to accept that we either carry on with the current destruction of the old social norms to whatever lies ahead or try to call a halt and build anew with history and ancient history as a guide to what works for the health and wealth of the majority. Pint of bitter please.
