@Alfa&Omega 00000 The backstop as I understand it is mainly to manage trade flows and you can't manage trade flows without a hard border can you cause those devious, lying and cheating people will sell you counterfeit/substandard goods and those other devious, lying and cheating people will happily receive and sell them to their fellow countrypersons. Just like they do now.

Such a big problem for the EU that we still have our own parliament something for them to think about when drawing up the rules for new countries wishing to join the EU if they can keep it going what with Germany looking forward to negative interest rates and having to work harder to make a Euro while managing all those immigrants.

@MrCalls1 Labour can be blamed for not being able to decide what they stand for other than to get elected, it's time they exited politics stage left.

@MrCalls1 They should try to get elected by presenting clear policies and transparent ideologies with a united party singing from the same hymn sheet, admittedly this is a problem as the Tories have found with politicians working for Brussels while trying to fool their electorate they are representing them. The 5 tests are just a ruse for them to be able to refuse any deal as the EU would never agree to a deal satisfying them, allowing Labour to con the voters with the usual B S.
