Trump was right when he said we should sue the EU. Italy is obligated to repay it's EU debt but it's never going to happen neither will Greece pay. Just keep singing Ode To Joy with your fingers in your ears and your eyes tight shut.

It looks like there is a chance we can get our democracy back if we do you can complain at general elections, can't wait for the return of some normality to British life.

The country voted to leave but that has no meaning when you're in the EU, you shouldn't meddle in things you don't understand and you obviously don't understand because we're telling you so. Don't you understand you have never had it so good we will continue to tell you how it's going to be, to think you thought your opinion mattered how absurd! Just let us sort it out with your betters, Mr Junker has access to some really good wine you've paid for and the food is second to none he had dinner with that nice Mr Mandelson and Neil Kinnock only last week and we are in complete agreement. Problem solved now go back to work and earn us some money we have a lot of hungry mouths to feed.

Any country gaining independence may face difficult times if you don't think it's worth it I suggest you find somewhere you think will give you the life you desire.

Liam Fox mistakenly assumed that the EU would negotiate to provide the best deal for the 27 countries, it could be an easy deal for the benefit of all but that is not the way the EU operates, as long as the cossetted elite think they're safe everyone once else must just manage as best they can. Empires aren't created by people who behave reasonably so it might come down to who can be the most unreasonable, might be time to use what we learned when we had an empire and stop kidding ourselves things are really that different today.

Melvin why do you feel strongly about Brexit? Is it because you do not really understand the reason for it. I think it's cause is to do with us being an Island race comfortable in our own skin with an interesting history that shows us to have been a positive force in the world. We no longer seek to dominate other countries or have much interest in pursuing ideological goals other than a majority in favour of democratic capitalism. We enjoy other cultures but do not wish to amalgamate with them as this would in my opinion destroy diversity. This is one of the big drawbacks with multiculturalism IMO the other being that it is not compatible with human nature.

Brexit means this country cedes no decision making powers to another, it's government can make treaties and it can exit treaties, impose tariffs or remove tariffs and is elected to power at every general election.
1
The Brexit negotiations were supposed to be merely a precaution in case the government are forced to take us out of the EU having been unable to persuade us to brino or remain, basically to agree a backstop position if as they see it the worst happens. They probably have the no deal, deal ready and locked up somewhere in Brussels.

Better run this ones driven by an isis dreamer.

I think your right it won't end well for you.

My my getting a bit sensitive aren't we, if you are happy to live in a colony or a united states of Europe I don't see why you see me or the UK as any kind of threat. You will still have the single market and the English language, our gift to you.
1
Oh I understand I think Geffo, it was just a bit of projection on your part, you attempt to intimidate and threaten leave voters and assume we do the same.
1
Why are you so bothered about keeping the UK in the EU?
1
Do you accept the future of the EU is ever closer union as intended by the designers of the project. I think if the EU is to survive it is unavoidable given the disparity in economic performance of the constituent economies that have the Euro. Inevitably this will mean a one government state for all members with harmonised interest rates, tax rates legal systems, defence force etc. It is inconceivable that the UK can continue in it's current position and will have to adopt the Euro at some time and accept direct rule from whatever body is constituted to run the state, be it democratic or dictatorship. Personally I would prefer something on the the lines of the USA system if we are intimidated enough to remain. As long as people can see this is the only viable future for the EU when they choose to remain then we must accept our fate.

No one knows for sure what Brexit will mean for our economic prosperity but when I look at the way the EU has been created with the deceptions, half truths and undemocratic grandiose high handed introduction of policies that have made life a misery for many I do not think our future in the EU is preferable to being independent. But everyone must make their own decision which we did, so if you believe in democracy we should be leaving in March 2019. I think your concerns are a little overdone we will not become a third world country overnight unless maybe if we elect a Labour government.

It's not every expert forecast most experts anyway have a big bias to maintaining the status quo they are good on theory but short of hands on experience. Sure good things have happened while we've been a member as they did before and will after. I think life will get worse for me if we continue to remain and will improve after we leave, timescales are impossible to forecast. Some workers rights and safety legislation along with human rights decisions have worked to unnecessarily disadvantage the majority in this country and with a less monolithic structure could be implemented and nuanced to better effect. As some EU countries do by simply ignoring rules. Do you believe the scare mongering tactics of the self serving Labour left talking heads and would be totalitarian autocratic hypocrites.
1
There are two extreme positions to take regarding the EU one is to remain the other is to seal up the channel tunnel, withdraw all troops and publicly paid employees other than diplomats and end cooperation with the EU on security information. Then we can seek partnerships with other countries around the world. It would be a big change for the UK to put it's own interests first but with Trump in america, Putin in Russia and Erdogan in Turkey it could be a good time to try.

One promise they haven't kept was that the referendum was a once in a generation vote the result of which would be carried out. You reduce the debate to the level of the schoolyard.

David Baker one mans tosh is anothers religion and we know how rational that can be.
1
playthegame ''no one gives a damn outside the EU'' hypocrisy is your forte, you're making yourself sound ridiculous. But as you're not British that's not too surprising when you try to tell us what to do which is so typical of EUropeans.
1
playthegame. Why have so many from other countries commented on Brexit if no one cares? We don't want you to care or not care other than for your own sake. ''stop acting like children'' is an instruction based on your interpretation on something you don't care about. I suggest you relax and think a bit harder and have some input from outside your regular sources. Not to care is ok but if you do care make sure you're well informed.
