@SirRobinDeSway I agree a federal U S of Europe is the immediate end goal for the EU with immigration being a tool to reduce nations opposition, who knows their ultimate goal.
1
@Ultron-o3i Italy has no plans currently.
1
If the UK was a sink hole there wouldn't be a problem with flooding, typical lack of logic expressed by many remainers.
1
@adrianceasar5620 If the river beds around the country were lowered to the necessary depth there wouldn't be a problem with flooding, I don't think it would be comparable to building the Panama canal would it.
1
@garyreynolds5733 Seems odd to me how so many remainers try to deny the ultimate goal of the EU is to be an undemocratic European super state whenever it's pointed out.
1
@shanjanusman9974 Major and Blair are the real villains but their plans have fallen at the last hurdle.
1
@shanjanusman9974 Your priorities are all wrong which is no surprise by the look of your name, don't fret sit back and relax and watch how Brits solve problems when their backs are to the wall, things are going to change fast so stay awake.
1
@shanjanusman9974 Yeah no time to get sleepy plenty work to do, this country needs patriotic grafters not drivers in reverse looking in their rear view mirror.
1
Hamilton is a good driver but most of the tech for his car is UK sourced probably his crew too and he's about as black as prince Harry.
1
@pm Nah mate it was Alexander the great.
1
We have the same problem in Britain, in all western countries in fact to a greater or lesser extent. Britain is trying to correct things democratically by voting for Reform but educating people that they need to preserve their own country's culture is a battle against globalist forces.
1
@bucketsandshims We wanna be free to do what we wanna do to live how we wanna live free.
1
@godsgrasshopper272 1,000 a day dying of old age in Italy, 1,000 a day dying in the UK in 2 weeks time just so many old people around these days. Error correction: Used to be so many old folks around.
1
@cxsmeticzz322 Airports are quite large and with extremely little traffic I would have thought they would be the ideal place to test and quarantine incomers for as long as required. There really is no excuse for continued failure to stop the spread of this disease.
1
@TurinTuramber Might as well do nothing then and let people die happy.
1
@TurinTuramber I89 dead in UK today, 299 died in France just keep following the advice.
1
What! Not another one.
1
pete b HA ha nice to read something that makes me laugh that's also true, the Greens would do the same. They would love to build a country China could just walk into and take over.
1
He's a socialist so he is doomed to fail. No tax rises, bare faced lies. Inflation has increased a lot since basic rate tax threshold was last increased, ergo wages are increased to keep people from going bankrupt ergo the amount paid in tax increases so wages have to increase more so companies have to charge more to maintain profitability so inflation increase etc etc. Under socialism government expenditure increases beyond the level of the economy to sustain it, the government prints money to fill the gap causing more inflation resulting eventually in bankruptcy for the country but not the government.
1
Never in the history of the UK has such vital responsibility been placed in the hands of such small inadequate people.
1
@utv5490 I trust when John Major says the Tory PM is unelectable he must know what he 's on about so I'll have to vote Farage.
1
@bucketsandshims Roll on roll off
1
@bucketsandshims I'm sure the EU will find the money for Scotland to build the border.
1
@gethcreator751 As long as people are encouraged to believe that god, the state, the lottery or anything else will provide too many will sub contract their responsibility for getting a life. Survival of the fittest today means those fit to live in a developed society should be given every chance to do so, the unfit should be given the minimum necessary to survive and the opportunity to become fit. If anyone feels different and they're rich enough to do something different good luck to them.
1
@nandomustermann8979 LOL.
1
@chomym LOL.
1
@marcmarc8524 LOL.
1
@chomym What's funny is the EU trying to tell us what we can and can't do, they are a construct we exist.
1
@chomym If they don't want to have a trade deal with us on the same basis as they have with Canada then we won't have a trade deal irrespective of any short term discomfort. Adversity builds character and sorts out the wheat from the chaff we will benefit in the long run, not everyone obviously that's just reality and cannot be circumvented. Creation always entails destruction, the creation of the EU is destroying what it means to be British, French, Italian and Spanish and probably Germany with little or no long term benefit that is worth the price.
1
@More tea Vicar? I want to be in the EU or how will we ever get to have the Euro or be able to stand behind our French and Italian comrades in the EU army. Oh the parades we could have without ever having to fight as long as the veto option remains, and how else are we going to kill that golden goose they call the city of London and cook all its eggs, sod the next generation they can find their own goose eggs.
1
There is no Conservative party just a Tory party with a few conservative members and rather more deluded supporters that need to get real.
1
@alabama1413 Better than the animals vote we had last time eh.
1
Michael McCullagh Vote UKIP.
1
@DUNCAN INVADER Just like Trump would never make president?
1
If the population reduces we wouldn't need the number of houses we already had.
1
@heliotropezzz333 How well did he run them or did the civil servants run them, what revolutionary changes did he introduce or lasting effects did he have.
1
@danielrobertson8866 Why is politics such a sideshow.
1
@heliotropezzz333 Apart from his views on Europe Clarke seems an affable character who has generally taken the right line, but not a ''great man'' of the likes of Thatcher or Churchill, a bit lacking in vision and or ambition maybe.
1
I guess politics needs men like Clarke as much as anyone I think he is more honest than many just out of touch with his country on Europe.
1
@heliotropezzz333 I agree we don't need another Churchill in todays world I don't think he would be able to adapt but I disagree about Thatcher I think history views her harshly because her policies were not modified and carried through to benefit the nation they were left to run and be abused as circumstances allowed while following governments concentrated on selling out the country to Europe and Blair used the country to benefit himself without concern for the cost to us.
1
@heliotropezzz333 She only ever cared about benefiting people she identified with, industrious people who earned their money and seekers of personal improvement. Her right to buy policy benefited many working class people, if later governments had sold council houses leasehold with a clause preventing the houses being let it would have killed the buy to let cause of a lack of affordable housing. The largely catastrophic privatisations were the result of failures in implementation designed to benefit the holders of financial power by the holders of financial power, which does not mean the policy was wrong. Capitalism needs intelligent oversight and harsh penalties for financial crimes of the kind would be criminals understand and fear such as the recovery of all assets held by the perpetrators by the state. I can't see a problem with freeing finances for global benefit it's the job of government to manage countries to benefit their people and business will do as it is allowed. The problem of the Eurozone is just another example of politicians ambitions exceeding their ability, they created the huge problem they have and don't seem to have a workable plan to put it right just fingers crossed and kick the can. Time to wake up and smell the coffee Europe needs united countries not the EU, not as it is now anyway maybe a Mk2 sometime in the future after some of it's countries naturally coalesce.
1
@clancywiggam That is no guarantee of reaching the right conclusions, many things that appear reasonable produce unacceptable effects.
1
@charlie123866 Get a job.
1
@Bilal Khalid It's the first time it's had direct responsibility for anything serious regarding the future of this country since the Lisbon treaty, which got nodded through without having any democratic oversight.
