Fundamentally she is saying she has been negotiating a withdrawal agreement which pretends to deliver for people who voted to leave while ensuring the UK's future in the EU is maintained. Logically the UK does not have a negotiating position until it has left the EU, the only matters to negotiate are what obligations we are legally bound to fulfill before leaving. After leaving we can begin our new relationship with the EU and the rest of the world which we should have been preparing for over the last 2 years.
1
The latest opinion polls in Italy put support for the EU at 44% but I agree it will be a while before the EU reforms itself.

Whatever happened to evil Salmond?
1
@stuartcrossland1746 Where does he reside in some castle somewhere or in a cave?

The vote was to be in the EEC political union was foisted on us by Major with the Maastricht treaty, such is the way the mighty play their tricks on us. The little people must think themselves lucky and pay their taxes so that us of greater intellect can rule, damn democracy, with concerted effort surely we can fool enough of the people all of the time.
1
@ENGLISHMURPHY When the German led EU army unites with Russia to oppose the US it will be a great day for Putin. Until China squashes them.
1
@amethyst760 It's all the fake news like Litvinenko and the Scrippals. lol.
1
@j.b.2263 But Carney is not a Brit and he doesn't even have a clue what interests rates will be in 12 months or how much we'll have to pay for the next EU budget or who audits their accounts.
1
It could be a win win for Europe and the UK but I don't see what the EU can gain.
1
Time to repossess those cannabis farms from the illegals.
1
Grow up.
1
@Darkwintre Leave means no longer being a subserviant partner to the EU. We can do deals with the EU and any country as desired and end deals under the terms of the deals we sign. Whatever UK assets the EU wish to benefit from should be paid for or operated quid pro quo.
1
@depthcharge123 Anyone who takes msm at face value deserves to be in the EU.

@naner9443 President tusks great great grandson reluctantly accedes to the request but advises there will be another 30% increase in contribution fees for the year.
1
@hendrixinfinity3992 Working people pay N I C supposedly to pay for their state pension, the state pension was allowed to shrink for decades to the point where it was necessary to introduce the triple lock. Now that the full state pension is approaching significant sum N I C contributions have been reduced by the Tories and the basic rate tax threshold has been frozen to drag more pensioners into paying tax. Paying tax on earnings over £12.5k when some benefits claimants can get three times that and pay no tax is a sick joke and great incentive for people to go the extra mile.
1
@malahammer How many Brits are involved in partying in the EU administration and travelling back and forth from Strasbourg to Brussels every fortnight etc. Hmm might be BILLION A YEAR goes astray after all especially as their accounting standards are very European.
1
@gerardking4333 What's your recipe for a fair system? equal shares for all?
1
I don't care who steals your money as long as they get away with it.
1
@dianneblack9407 I want to give up what remains of my freedom to a foreign totalitarian regime such as --- err ----- China, or the ---- err----- EU.
1
Going to Glasto this year May should be great , loads of dickheads with tattoos.
1
@John Brighton What do want? A general election, when do we want it? Now.
1
There are nowhere near enough normal British people in the labour party to vote for Jesse Phillips, that's probably a good thing for the country.
1
If I don't get what I want I'll sqweem and sqweem and sqweem, stamp my feet and I won't eat my dinner, so there!
1
@bradavon Time they found a new slogan Labour have always said the same thing yet strangely the Tories always end up putting more money into the bottomless pit they call the international NHS.
1
@bradavon Yeh it's different this time but Trump isn't the difference, lambs to the slaughter vote Lib/Lab/SNP.
1
@bradavon Tories have some MP's I agree with as do the Brexit party, if they could form a coalition it might solve some of our biggest problems.
1
@imluvinyourmum Where will all the deadbeats go for their healthcare when the US buys the NHS?
1
What is the point of a peoples vote? Policy details in this democratic country are not negotiated and made by the people.
1
The view from the other side, looks a little desperate to me.
1
@randomdaveUK The promised better deal is a free trade deal which is what we will get eventually and that will be so much better than being in the EU.
1
@randomdaveUK We will regain all those free trade deals and do more and they will be of greater benefit to the UK than the deals arranged through the EU. This will be made easier once we have rooted out the traitors in public office such as those who divulge official secrets like the communications of our current American ambassador.
1
@jameswhiteley6843 The lesser of two evils?
1
Parliament voted to say they didn't want no deal by a margin of 5 votes, or a majority of 8 votes in a non binding vote merely an expression of their view at the moment.
1
Duck Duck Why did the EU break it's own rules to let Greece have the Euro? When countries in the UK get bailed out they are not charged interest on the money. The beneficent EU such a wonderful corrupt union.
1
Duck Duck Why are they corrupt? because they will not have their financial accounts independently audited, they make the rules to suit themselves and pay for the benefits they enjoy. All done without the need for democratic accountability.

Prog Shhhh

Rudd Starts her campaign for the top job, I'd prefer Sajid Javid at the moment after his superb interview with Marr.

@BodyGuardOfLies1 Quite.

I wondered why I've been so ill after my holiday in the US.
1
@roybabineaux5353 Leave a vacuum through inaction and someone else will fill the space.
1
@Ste-The-Leo We can't even produce enough for our own needs now, why are so many farmers committing suicide, why are the government bringing in this tax now anyway? Got a lot of illegal immigrants to keep warm this winter? With a bit of planning no one will have to pay the tax anyway Lol so why bring it in.
1
@dianneblack9407 How's 5g coming along in France and Germany.
1
@allardfreichmann3733 It's coming home.
1
@ha6ni6el6 Nutjobs. That's what they say about people who want the return of capital punishment, who are they? People like Jack who are prepared to die for their misguided beliefs. McCann will be so remorseful until he's released again to continue with his crimes.
1
Watch the football supporters cry when their teams lose, it's so strange what is going on in their heads?
1
@MonoLith2049 This government and it's admin/civil servants are just like the the players in a premier league club, they try to perform according to the rules of the game. Personally I want to see the players playing according to their convictions and disregarding the PC rules where required to carry out their policies, if they're good people will re-elect them if not they'll be gone, that's the most important point. All the posturing and hypocrisy should be seen for what it is, why does the criticism of Cummings have to be given mass media coverage and the biased views of all the anti government losers given at length? Is this country and the governments decisions to be directed through the media because the government are incapable of making the right decisions. If so what's the point of having elections?
