@boereherp8705 They are self funded and would not be there if the countries didn't want them or were able to remove them, blame the EU for that.

@Charlie Tango After being told by the liberal socialist bleeding hearts for years that they are entitled to whatever they think they should have as long as they don't have to provide it, and being given credit to a level that's past their ability to repay by a globalist system that distorts capitalism to benefit the elite with the complicity of governments and no education of any real value it's no wonder people are the way they are.

P.S. It's a wonder things aren't a lot worse, but they're getting there.

@TheNeverposts Who nicked all the houses and where have they hid them.

@ihategeorgebushjr Brexit wasn't intended to solve housing issues.

@TheNeverposts How long was Blair in office for and what did he do to try and solve housing shortages? He could have made council house sales on leasehold basis only with a 999 year term with a clause to prevent them being put out to future renting subject to them being repurchased by the council at the original sale price. But oh no that would have maintained a supply of low cost houses that people could afford to buy, that's not socialism is it.

Without mentioning the number of illegal immigrants at a guess it must be close to a million.

@999cosmos He was PM in a government of socialists, utterly useless as per normal.

@john daly Many of the problems this country faces are caused by overpopulation, the last thing we need is to encourage more people to live here by offering them homes. Where would the Chinese or Poles live while they were building them?

daro2096 This imaginary young couple, what age would they be how, long have they been thinking of buying a house etc etc. Young couples in most cases don't normally just suddenly materialise with no history and no plan, if they did they could hardly expect to get a mortgage of any amount. Life is a marathon not a sprint that is part of the problem with people today, if they both saved the maximum £4k into a lifetime ISA even a cash one they would have over £30k as a deposit and would be able to afford the house.

If the population reduces we wouldn't need the number of houses we already had.
