  5.  @michaelrch  If any companies are suffering as you say that is purely the fault of the governments negotiating failure to date, allowing uncertainty to continue for over 2 years by agreeing to all EU negotiating demands including the order for negotiations to be done. I am convinced they thought that they would have scared enough people into supporting remain by now, just shows how out of touch they are. Companies and countries must survive or vanish on their merits there is no other worthwhile choice.

  13. Could somebody explain a few things to me please? I heard that article 50 recommends that withdrawal agreements and future relationships should be negotiated side by side so why did the EU insist against the advice of it's own rules that they should be negotiated one after the other and why did the UK agree. Secondly why did the head of the EU's own group investigating the Irish border situation (a Swedish man name I can't recall) say on radio 4 today programme that technological solutions to trade without a hard border exist and would probably work out cheaper than current arrangements yet EU spokesmen say different.

The point of Brexit was to have the opportunity to have general elections in the UK that elect a government that runs the country and not an authority that carries out the orders of an undemocratic opaque foreign body. That issue has been decided, until we have experienced the benefits or otherwise of that decision there is no reason or cause to change it. Emotional outcries, prophecies of doom and unverifiable propaganda from the losers are just what is to be expected from irrational dreamers.

  21.  @stephenconway2468  No way sunshine I'm too busy to waste time on stuff that I don't control, I've had my vote to give my opinion, I didn't even watch the vid. I bought the F.T. for 20 + years and found it quite balanced but they've taken their masters orders and lost the plot, just have to wait and see what happens even now with national governments arguing with the ECB the elites are still hoping things will work out to keep them in charge and fix democracy.

  22.  @stephenconway2468  The important issues haven't changed since the referendum, carrying out the will of the people has been delayed and avoided ad nauseum and the media's obsession with Cummins is just the latest attempt at turning people against a supposed Brexit supporting government. The Tories criticising Boris for not sacking Cummins just shows how many remainers are still in parliament, nothing will stop the disintegration of the EU I just hope the disintegration of western sanity doesn't accompany the catastrophe.

  23.  @stephenconway2468  U K independence can be a cornucopia for it's people if the country is well run and shrugs of the social and ideological delusions that are the basis of our drift into dystopia fed by the uncaring capitalist systems race to the bottom powered by throwaway consumerism and the need for the instant gratification of our baser instincts. It's a rebellion of the masses for a fundamental change to our current ideology, people understand it is a long term project and there will be changes that will involve us all having to make sacrifices for our own eventual spiritual and financial benefit. It won't be easy but nothing truly rewarding is.

  24.  @stephenconway2468  Brexit means Brexit and getting back sovereignty were slogans shouted by politicians tasked with appearing to deliver what the people voted for while trying to avoid delivering, that's why there are few details as yet. The people are pushing the agenda and the politicians have yet to get on board, it's akin to a revolution, but it's a democratic revolution and if it's betrayed the future will be bleak just as it is for Hong Kong.

  26.  @stephenconway2468  Your ability to add two and two to make five is very good but like EU policy leads to disappointment, just keep compounding the mistakes until it all collapses. The majority of farmers benefiting from the CAP are French along with a few large landowners in the UK, do a bit of research if you're interested enough and stop parroting propaganda. When and if you have symptoms of Covid 19 isolate yourself and ring to get tested, if you happen to be asymptomatic just go about your business and help with the herd immunity project.

Those who can do those who can't teach is obviously a generalisation but true in most cases in my experience, did Einstein teach classes?

  32. Does the EU see immigration as a problem? Or do it's leaders think followers of the Islamic faith will eventually adopt western values or somehow become compatible with western society. If developments in Turkey are any guide it looks like western values will have to become Islamic.

Didn't you know that Sweden voted against the funding proposal of Germany and France to finance over indebted EU countries struggling even more because of the virus. At the risk of repeating myself Scotland was not misled, they were told the truth as it was at the time, with the agreement of the EU they would not meet the criteria for membership and probably never will. The last thing the EU needs is another mouth to feed.
