It instills unit cohesiveness and makes sure nobody's cheaply bought equipment is a liabilty. Nobody wants a piece of plastic helmet in the eye from a helmet bought on Alibaba.

  40. The leopards Germany is providing are v6s. Those are the current tanks Germany uses. Germany was going to upgrade their v6s to v7s. Instead they will take the v5s they originally intended to give to Ukraine and upgrade those to v7s. Bottom line is Ukraine gets a better tank and doesn't have to wait till 2024. Germany stalling forced the USA to cough up Abrams. It is great for Ukraine how it worked out.
