Because people need protection from the Chinese government.

Did any Chinese break into Chinese government building? No, they didn't. The ones arrested on Jan 6th did. Please elaborate on what would happen if the highest government office in China was invaded. Would anyone hear from those trespassers again? Never compare China to the West, China is an order of magnitude lower in regards to respecting peoples rights and freedoms.

Yeah, then their human rights were taken away, and now China has sanctions.

One time in 1899. For 156 years, it was prosperous and peaceful under British rule.

@Broken_Cosmo Thank You! Even more evidence of China behaving badly. "The use of roadside bombs and petrol bombs by demonstrators prompted the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) to raid the demonstrators' strongholds and arrest their leaders. Fifty-one people were killed in the subsequent violence. As many of the bombs were made in pro-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) schools, then governor David Trench decided to close those schools and ban pro-CCP publications in the colony." Aren't you lucky I am here to inform you all. Chinese censorship is a wicked disease.

@xx133 Compared to mainland China, who was enduring famines under Mao and even today has poverty levels in rural areas equalling those in Africa.
1
@xx133 please compare the poverty of Hong Kong to that of mainland China. There have been hundreds of studies done on the issue.

@kaimanyu586 And now ZERO protests are allowed in Hong Kong...about anything. The people have no voice in China. That is a fact.
1
@kaimanyu586 Where is it legal to protest in China now?
