The fact that you see no problem with the government telling you how many kids you can have, shows just how much like sheep and how controlled you are. THE GOVERNMENT HAS LIMITED PLACE IN YOUR LIFE. DON'T LET IT DECIDE YOUR LIFE.

@Felix-vu9tz It is a common misconception. People are starving because of many reasons. OVERPOPULATION IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Food distribution, waste, greed and weather impact the food system negatively. Particularly in the west we throw away 1/3 of the food we grow. Most of our fields are growing food for livestock. Population control is never an option. It is repugnant, disgusting and should never happen. There is an abundance of food it just needs better management.

@Grendel_Zahid That is a big generalization. Prosperity is more than just population. It costs money to upgrade a country. People in India pay too little tax. Mainly because the goverment there does not provide enough opportunity for people to work. Canadians pay high taxes and get better country. Soon you will have Chinese jobs in India, as western countries close their factories in China. Help is coming...do not turn into China, you will regret it forever.

@vincenttan6303 But they are not China...they can protest things like working conditions and wages...The western shopper is very picky about who makes what they buy. They institute policies that prevent abuse of workers. First let's get them a job! Then worry about elevating their situation when the GDP goes up. If India had a 1 child policy....The death of infant girls will be a waterfall. Ever seen a full term baby girl stuck in an 20cm sewer pipe? I have....In China after her mother tried to get rid of her because she can only have one and it had to be a boy.

@nikosgee4991 I know all this and it does not make it better. The damage has been done to thousands of of baby girls. Many men in China don't have to think about children, with so few eligible women to marry. Now counseling India to do the same inhuman practice...Tiny minds to even consider it.

So wonder why they don't want extra children. Letting little details like that slip through are we? @vincenttan6303 Okay births should happen roughly 50 percent girls to 50 percent boys....correct? China is >>missing<< 30 million girls. In 1994 CCP made ultrasound screening for sex identification illegal. 30 million baby girls were born. Then 30 million just disappeared. Do you understand what I am telling you a One child rule will cause? Not may....WILL. As little government control over your life as possible is the key. Especially concerning children. The 'sweatshop' jobs will be engineers and heavy machinery operators and skilled laborers who fix the roads, bridges, dams, power plants, railways. Not low paying jobs. When it is easy to move around, people will do that. Merchandise too. They will spend money doing it creating more jobs for people who help them. More train jobs more jobs building trains. hotel jobs, airport jobs, government jobs Taxable jobs. Anti sweatshop agency is born. Build the roads, bridges and railways and the rest will take care of itself. It is what America did after the Great Depression and it worked well for them.
