@BestofChina Who told you the poverty rate fell? Who decided what poor was? The CCP did. Those who also told you they have an 80 percent approval rating. From a survey they conducted themselves and reported on their own television station. I have news for you. The international community has a standard for poverty. Those 800 million people "lifted" out of poverty by the CCP. They are still considered poor. China has 30 million more boys than girls. Can you tell me how that happened? In as much detail as possible.

@yangguang9792 Wrong. westerners want to live in suburbs not in apartments. Young people live in apartments...save up and then move to houses in the country and commute into the city.

@honeyhunters6055 Those houses are "investments" CCP is very restrictive with what Chinese can use to save money for retirement. It is a house of cards really. When the baby boomers retire within the next 10 years, they are going to want to sell those investments. So many selling and not enough buying will cause prices to drop significantly. Those that thought they could retire won't have the money.

@windywendi There are more people now than then so why is it not a problem now? Now the problem is not enough people to pay for the old. Those were children that were sacrificed so that others could live more comfortably. Am I right?
