  3.  @mightycannon1512  it wasnt mysterious... they tracked it right into the ground. A problem with braking thrusters was the reported cause. It hit the moons surface at 210km/h. Flybys of the area show a debris field stretching kilometers with the lander and rover in the middle of it.
