The US Department of Defense defines a short-range missile as a ballistic missile with a range of less than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles).  Within the U.S. Department of Defense, a medium-range missile is defined by having a maximum range of between 1,000 and 3,000 kilometres (620 and 1,860 mi).

There is NO MENTION of "tactical" or "strategic" in their description. Also, the old missle the Lance and the new missle Prsm. That information is readily available online. The very first sentence about Prsm on Wikipedia. "The Precision Strike Missile (PrSM; PRI-zim) is a short-range ballistic missile developed by the United States Army to replace the MGM-140 ATACMS. " I just ignored the part about you claiming to work there to avoid any further embarrassment.
