  5. @FuryofPhotons  I agree with you. It is not the right decision. However, the current Syrian government we should hope is willing to overlook their rude visitors. This visit was about renewing ties. It was not about building an alliance. In the future, German engineering expertise will be required to rebuild the Syrian infrastructure into something reliable and modern. No one will remember "pants and shoes."
