People get paid more in the West. Including the employees that make the EVs. They charge the right price for the western market. Chinese EVs will never be allowed for sale in the West.

@alexmcwhirter6611 Many of BYD's owners are western companies and Warren Buffet is a major shareholder. I don't know the specifics about foreign part content on the Atto 3 which is the vehicle you must be talking about. It is an interesting development.

@manishgrg639 Wrong. 52% of Tesla's cars last year were made in Tesla's factory in Shangai China. Tesla could not import 80% of parts from China because more than half the cars never left China. You cannot import what is already there. America has agreements with Mexico that mean Chinese parts in American Teslas cannot exceed the value of the Mexican parts. "Tesla Model 3 is built with 50% parts from US/Canada, and 25% from Mexico" "Under NAFTA, cars that have been assembled in Canada, the US or Mexico need a minimum of 55% content to be from North America in order to be considered a “NAFTA vehicle” and be exempt of any tariffs, duties or taxes when sold in Canada, the US or Mexico."

@kenho-wr5ul2rh7m "Good quality"? Do you have a source that says "good quality" I have seen a lot of reports to the opposite. The only good quality ones are the Teslas from Shanghai.

@mutyabaivandavid103 No he is right Chinese vehicles are junk straight out of the factory. There are comical videos of people doing reviews on them. Lack of quality is one reason they are "cheap". Rich people in nonwestern countries don't buy Chinese, they buy German, Japanese British or American. China's are good if you can't afford anything better. For that reason only they are successful.

@kenho-wr5ul2rh7m WHY would I not watch some other person buy it and review it instead? It is the smarter thing to do. Second smartest thing is ignore Jim Graham. Named as many other car companies as he could. How many previous electric vehicles did he own? His new car is better than his old car...what a surprise!

@billshi6005 Western countries have rules regarding what percentage of car parts can be made in other countries. No one would be able to afford a car with 80% Chinese parts. Here are the rules for North America. Europe has similar rules, you look them up if you want. *Under NAFTA, cars that have been assembled in Canada, the US or Mexico need a minimum of 55% content to be from North America in order to be considered a “NAFTA vehicle” and be exempt of any tariffs, duties or taxes when sold in Canada, the US or Mexico.*

@ds-kj8fq Using your analogy..We control who's eggs go in the basket, with heavy resistence to Chinese eggs. Got it? 70% of western companies have reduced or removed their operations in China. This is a real world fact. Reasons for this: - Fear of arbitrary arrest of employees by the CCP. - Increased shipping costs. - minimize supply chain disruptions. - China isn't as cheap as it used to be. The most important thing to remember for future discussions is...I don't care!

@odysliu9235 When you have already won the race, you do not need to look around for competitors. More than 75% of all money in the world is Western money. You remember the golden rule...he who has the gold makes the rules. As you can see it is true...the west is running everything.
