  2. Labour sowed those seeds decades ago by promoting national parliaments. Party because they could never imagine losing control in Scotland and Wales.

  3. The Great War (or War of Unnumbered Tears as I think of it) did so much damage to this nation that I truly believe it was a 1066 moment. Britain had no business in a German Russian war centred in the Balkans. And if the Sabre really needed rattling it should have been at Sea and no more ! As for the Empire - cracks were appearing anyway, the world was changing. That dammed war did untold damage that is with us today!
