Japan is a first world country with one of the best qualities of life around.The average Japanese is smart and sophisticated .
4
@ngfookkwai6096 China is aging,too. Foreign direct investment to China is decreasing while it's increasing in Japan as latest data show.🤗
4
@i6power30 Now you're making up. An average Japanese is keenly aware of their democratic values.
4
Japan is correct in strengthen ing its trade and military relations with America and Europe.China is a big question mark for the west. Will Japan succeed?All indicators suggest so. Congratulations to Japan.
3
@steinwaldmadchen Stein this is often ignored but you're correct.Since the 80's Japan has been investing at least 500 billion dollars to help create what China is today.Japan has always been a positive force in the Chinese economy until recently.
3
The historical relations of America and Japan are complex but mainly they are bound by the same democratic ideals. America and Japan are true friends regardless of the Plaza Accord.
3
Japanese politics is skewed to the rural areas and this influences their voting pattern. Anyhow,a low turnout is better than zero participation.
3
@chriswong9158 HAHAHA. ASEAN is for southeast asian countries only.Japan is east asian.
3
The main advantage of China is cost because of their vaunted industrial supply chain. With America and Japan no longer buying their cheap goods China is in for a rough ride in the decades ahead.
3
The Japanese are natural strategists.
3
Eventually they are going to sell to new rising manufacturing stars in southeast asia,latin america or india.
3
Japan is betting hybrids midterm and hydrogen and EV long term.
3
That's what Japan did in the last 40 years but China is of a different mind.
2
@i6power30 Are you a magician ?
2
@ArawnOfAnnwn Says China who's going around asking the west for foreign direct investment.😁
2
@i6power30 Also Japan is a representative democracy but it doesn't mean their politicians do not go to the grassroots level.
2
All indicators suggest so that Japan might be coming back.
2
@steinwaldmadchen again stein you make far better sense. China's advantage really is cost ,not just today but forward. China is in a hurry to dump their EV's to Europe and if they could America perhaps to kill the competition this early. China's EV might work in China only with their automotive infrastrucure newest ,developing countries because cheap and in Europe as niche. Still all this is too early to tell.Of course,I am not underestimating the Chinese as they could pull it off but again my money is on the Americans and Japanese.However,China will have its place in the automotive world not just at the top.
2
To ally with America and Europe is to win.😁
2
@asylnbola1445 Japan helped in building China's vaunted industrial chain and invested in China to the tune of at least 500 billion dollars since the 80's.Japan came even earlier than the Americans and Europeans to invest.Japan wished the Chinese all the best,had goodwill and cheered for the Chinese people.They were instrumental in integrating China into the global supply chain in 2001.
1
China is using Mexico as a backdoor to America.They still need that market .😁
1
@ArawnOfAnnwn To dismiss America about their recent past and attribute it to the present is illogical.a non-sequitor.
1
Asking a nation of higher sophistication to change?
1
@i6power30 If.
1
@i6power30 The west's manufacturing car companies are opportunists.They wanted to bleed the industry dry that's why they are still selling IC's.There's still a good 10 year-window to sell them.I concede Chinese EV is cheaper than IC and the future is the former but the best aesthetics is still western. China is in a hurry to kill the automotive prowess industry of the west but I suspect this is impossible.Once the west begins to focus on hybrids and EV's the Chinese will find out they are not too easy to beat.😁
1
@i6power30 American voters' turnout is only around 50% yet they are the most democratic in the world just like in west Europe.

@jumpinggoldagatito9153 👍
1
@MikoYotsuya292 You're correct.All indicators suggest that Japan will succeed.
1
@3tree4ever37 👏
1
@ngfookkwai6096 hahaha.I'm a nobody. Anyway,it's true that most indicators show that Japan might succeed in dominating the arts,science and technology in the next 75 years.😜
1
@i6power30 I include science and tech to be dominated by Japan in the 2030 and onwards. I concede China is trailblazing in battery tech and in EV in extension and green technology,too but it's still playing out.
1
@jaycabi19 😁
1
@gliu1431 No,I have read up. My reading list on Japan is extensive.😁
1
What's wrong with advancing women's rights in Japan? Abenomics is still playing out.
1
@i6power30 😁

He's being ironical.
1
Sarcasm more likely.
1
@stevenlai1199 Banzai!
1
@mrconfusion87 😁
1
And China is using Mexico as a backdoor to America.😁
1
That is not the complete picture.😁
1
@i6power30 not too fast. It looks like Chinese EV 's are more technologically advanced but this will not stay for long. The main advantage of the Chinese is cost and that will remain in the foreseeable future but quality-wise the west is bound to rule forward.
1
@i6power30 Let's come back to this post 5 years from now then.😁
1
@steinwaldmadchen Stein,I find your point better argued. True that Chinese EV companies like BYD are innovating at excellent speed but it's too early to tell China is winning over America,Japan or Germany. Wi
1
@jumpinggoldagatito9153 It is still playing out.😁
1
@stevenlai1199 😁
1
You can say the same thing to China in 30 years.
1
The answer is simple.China is not supporting the rules-based international order.Americans and the rest of the west are not hypocrites but realists.
