Example, the study on the effect of names when applying for a job: They see a resume “Bjorn” and then they see one for “Mohammed”; you will always be more likely to be chosen over Mo in Norway. THIS Bjorn, is white privilege. How can you detect discrimination against OTHER PPL??? Of course you didn’t notice because you’re not the one being discriminated against due to skin colour!   34. I will make white privilege more understandable by giving you a simple example based on cars and traffic. Imagine you get into your car and start driving on the W1, the W1 is the road for white ppl: you get to drive on a comfy road with a few traffic lights to your destination. Meanwhile your neighbor that is non-white starts driving and since they are not white they don't get to drive on the W1, instead they take a side entrance to a tunnel for the X3. On the X3 there are regular traffic lights and every third traffic light there's a police check station where they do a full body search. While your drive takes 10 mins, they have to take a detour and stop frequently so they're on the road for 50 mins on the same distance. In the evening you see your neighbour coming home and you wave at them smiling, cause you're a nice guy. Your neighbour then says "Damn it must be nice to drive on the W1". Then you go inside and think well we're both home and we both drove. I don't know what route they took but I'm sure it's exactly the same as mine. I wonder why they complain about the roads, the roads are great. Why would they say my road is better? I had to stop for some lights, just like them. Of course the only reason you can say this is because you're completely ignorant to the X3, since well you can't drive there, you can only drive on the W roads. It doesn't matter that you don't think that changes anything, because it does. Do you understand white privilege now Bjorn?

Example of white privilege here: just because we have white privilege doesn’t mean we don’t also struggle. But then just because we struggle doesn’t mean we don’t have privilege. And we certainly do. An example of this is if you or I were to try get a job somewhere in Europe for example we would have better chances to get in for an interview because we have the ‘’normal” names of Kim or Ben. However “Mohammed” or the like would have a much harder time. You can easily find the scientific studies on this when u google “names interview study”. This is only One example that completely debunks what he just said about the subject. I imagine he’s confused because some woke ppl like to pretend it invalidates our struggles, but those ppl are very silly
