  3. I think that the political center of gravity in the US will be moving inexorably to the left in coming years; with that will come an ever higher tax burden. As that process unfolds, the cost of US citizenship will rise relative to the benefits.... at least for some people. And there's also the question of the point at which the US dollar will begin to lose its reserve currency status.... along with the question of how that will affect the costs and benefits of retaining US citizenship.
