The process for getting Argentinian citizenship doesn't look onerous at all (e.g., demonstrate pension income of at least 30,000 Argentine Pesos, or invest 30,000 Pesos in a business), although from what I can gather, CONTINUOUS RESIDENCE is required for two years. Apart from that, the process (and the passport) appear to be desirable. Nevertheless, Mexico would be better for those who are not in a hurry; less residence time is required, and it doesn't have to be continuous.

  2.  @bennyhanna6  OK, that's interesting; but an even more important issue is that of how many of those 36 months a person must actually stay in the country. Can a person leave for a few months each year... or would that restart the clock?
