  5. Yes; the legal hurdles for imposition of a wealth tax are high. But if the political left ever got control of the SCOTUS, the US Constitution would no longer be an impediment. If there were 5 Justices like Ruth Ginsburg on the Court, the left could do whatever it wanted. (Alternatively, the Dems could "pack the Court" by adding another 6 justices).

  6. Trump may do well in the electoral college; but Biden is still going to win the states of NY and CA by massive margins; hence Biden could easily win the popular vote (but lose in the electoral college).

  9. I'm pretty sure that you're incorrect on one point: the elimination of preferential treatment of long-term capital gains. Under Biden's proposal, the preferential treatment of long-term capital gains would be eliminated only for amounts ABOVE ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Of course, were this to become law, it wouldn't take long before that one million dollar threshold were lowered to $500K, then $300K, then $100K. Ditto for the FICA tax on incomes about $400K; the threshold there ($400K) would be lowered, at the same time that the existing cap ($137K) will be raised.
