This video actually helps to make the case for getting a CBI sooner rather than later. A person could, at a given point in time, be in good health, have no involvement in any civil litigation, be free of any allegations of criminal wrongdoing; and have suffered no rejection of a visa application. But the reality is that, in life, sh*t happens. And sh*t can happen to "good" people. So a person may be eyeing a CBI program thinking that he can just wait until he needs it. But what if he later develops a serious chronic illness? What if he gets drawn into civil litigation? What if....? And even applying for... and then getting rejected by.... a CBI program can provide information that is, in and of itself, of some value.

If Biden wins the White House, but the GOP retains the senate, I doubt we'll see any big tax increases. But yes; a three-House sweep by the Dems will mean higher taxes for sure.

@petersmith2040 Yes; also, some have been cancelled (e.g., Moldova, Belize and Cyprus); in other cases the price has been raised (Malta, I believe).

The US government (factions of it, anyway) often treat illegal aliens better than it does US citizens; certainly it demands far more from its citizens than it does from the illegal aliens, while at the same time giving illegal aliens many benefits.

Frankly, as an American citizen, I wouldn't want to live there in any case (low taxes or not); at least while there are significant tensions between the US government and the Chinese government.

@mhdhsn500 I'm sure HK was fine until the last year or two. But if there's going to be a "cold war" between the US and China, Hong Kong probably won't be a great place for US citizens. (Also, I'm rather skeptical of the real estate market in HK as well).
