  1. Given the income taxes and property taxes at the state level, one shouldn't be comparing "the United States" with Mexico; one should be doing a state-by-state comparison. For example, if one wants a low tax burden (at the state level), one could move to Nevada or South Dakota; but then the comparison has to be between Nevada and Mexico, or S. Dakota vs Mexico.

  2. "Mexico isn’t good with taxes". The way it looks to me, the tax burden in Mexico is no worse than the federal tax burden is in the US; and when taxes at the state level are considered, Mexico looks better.

  5.  @alrent2992  Biden COULD threaten to cut off the Salvadoran banks from the SWIFT payment system. I doubt that Biden would take it that far, but one never knows.
