  1. As long as only 20,000 people per year are renouncing, the US government will just let them go. Even 50,000 per year. But if the number ever gets much higher than that, the US government could just increase the exit tax (to be a certain percentage of the person's assets, in addition to a tax on unrealized capital gains).

  2. I don't expect to see any radical tax increases over the next two years, even assuming that the Democrats get ahold of the two Georgia senate seats. HOWEVER, if the 2024 election is even HALF as fraudulent as the 2020 election was, US citizens will be living under increasingly higher levels of taxation.... and tyranny.

  3.  @_capr_545  Yes, the current number is indeed a lot lower than 20K per year; my point is that EVEN IF it were 20K or 50K the government would just let them go, because total tax revenue from them is still very small compared with total federal tax revenues.
