One thing I've wondered about is, what happens if a US citizen is married to another US citizen, and ONE of the two marriage partners renounces his/her citizenship.... might it then be easier to (at least) get a green card later, as a consequence of being married to a US citizen? I would think the answer is in the affirmative. And, as mentioned in the video, there is the option of an E-2 or E-5 visa; and of course, after renouncing US citizenship, one can generally obtain a multiple-entry visa. My point being that while it may well be true that once US citizenship is renounced, it's difficult to get it back; but the fact of that is separate and apart from the fact that subsequent to renouncing US citizenship it's still possible to spend a lot of time in the US (even if regaining that citizenship is not easy).
