  1. From what I can gather, there is no capital gains tax on the sale of financial assets in Malaysia (there is, however, a capital gains tax on the sale of real estate). Whether or not that exemption (i.e., absence of a capital gains tax) would apply to Malaysian residents who "day trade" foreign stock markets, I'm not sure.
    2
