@rivella99 One is an anti parasitic that can only be used some of the time. The other is an antiviral that can be used no matter the severity of the symptoms. It's not that hard to understand.

@johnmurphy9550 LMAO, the one I hadn't read about was the West Nile Virus..it wasn't even used on humans. It was essentially fed to birds and put in their blood stream and the mosquitoes die when drinking the affected blood from birds. But you know what you are talking about huh?

@dacrazycard7086 That's not how it works and NONE of that is true. The vaccination increases your natural immunities defenses...that's like the whole reason we have vaccines. Natural Immunity actually DOESN'T last as long as the vaccine boosted immunity. And it has been documented that in roughly a third of infections there was no natural immunity gained. Try again. We know you don't understand the science but it doesn't mean you have to choose to remain ignorant to it. There isa reason the vaccinated people aren't showing up in hospitals dummy.

Well, that's because one drug is known to be an antiviral and effective...and the other is an antiparasitic that has only shown to work when the people are in early stages of Covid without heavy symptoms. There is a reason they aren't giving it to patients later on.
2
@sparkymedic OMG....seriously....still with y'all thinking this?
2
@TheLord_MyShepherd uuuh what do you mean? At this point we have tons of data on the vaccines. And they have had more testing than both those drugs. Quit choosing to be ignorant.
2
@patrzepny6379 Yes ok...and what? The bash on ivermectin isn't just that it's used as horse dewormer. It's antiparasitic, not antiviral. And only shown to possibly help when taken early in the infection. One drug has very little study as an anti viral, and again is an antiparasite drug, the other is a known antiviral. It's not hard to understand the difference. Unless you are choosing to be ignorant.
2
@johnmurphy9550 more like it doesn't fit your narrative. You people constantly turn a blind eye to the people who were given IVM and died. There's a reason it is only being used in those with early symptoms. Yes taking a human dosage of IVM can be safe, but people were taking larger doses than that meant for livestock instead of going to their doctors. If I remember right there were like 3 people who died because of that. You should speak to your doctor, but using a known antiviral is probably going to work better than using an antiparasitic that SEEMS to be having some effect. Either way, IVM is not enough and can't be used on every case of Covid. That's why it isn't.
2
learn2 farm Doctors have been prescribing IVM. But only when it is applicable. People have had organ failure from it being too hard on their body with the heavier covid symptoms. It's not even a known effective antiviral, it's antiparasitic. There's a reason they stopped giving it to people.
2
@marcuslewis1890 Omg, this ignorance to stop. You people are the reason the vaccine didn't get us to herd immunity already. Like seriously? You realize herd immunity is achieved every year by the people who actually got vaccinated. You can't just claim something didn't work because you sabotaged it and screwed everybody over. We would have been done. The vaccines are working, if you haven't noticed deaths are down everywhere. Quit choosing to be ignorant.
2
@johnmurphy9550 I'm not making anything up. You are just choosing to be ignorant. You can literally look it up. Doctors use IVM right now early on. Because people were dieing with heavier symptoms. Your opinions aren't equal to the truth. Quit choosing to be ignorant.
2
@johnmurphy9550 Says the one wallowing in conspiracy theories too terrified to think clearly. The future is here and we are all fine with leaving you people behind.
2
@marcuslewis1890 lmao, no that just means you have never understood how any vaccine works. A vaccinated person is contagious for a far shorter period than a non vaccinated person too. You people act like CNN is the only source of information in the world. Again, quit choosing to be ignorant.
2
@marcuslewis1890 You people made that situation happen. It's your fault they are turning people away from hospitals. Go cry about it.
2
@shooster5884 We know more a lot more than you think we do. We do know possible side effects. This same BS arguments was made almost a century ago. By the ignorant and uneducated. Maybe spend some more time researching actual science and not the conspiracy theories you see on FB.
2
@Gotta-love-Elon Wrong. Especially since they haven't stopped. It's still used when peoples symptoms are still in the early part. And often in combination with Remdesivir. It's called following the science and data, ivermectin was not working as well once people were past a certain point. That is why it is not used as the main treatment. And on top of that Ivermectin is also dangerous to the liver and kidneys....so what's your point? Quit choosing to be ignorant.
1
@marcuslewis1890 It's literally one of the side effects, and why it isn't used on people who already have issues with their liver and kidneys. And especially why you shouldn't be taking amounts meant for farm animals. Yes it can be useful, they still don't know specifically what is working as an anti viral in it and it doesn't work all the time. There are better drugs to be looking into and using than ivermectin.
1
@marcuslewis1890 Yeah, and most people wait before going to a doctor. That's probably another reason we don't see it used that often. It's too late.
