Yeah, in a world and more locally a land rife with poverty, people squeeing over the very cute Boar are looking past a bourgeois lifestyle that seems completely out of touch with the lived reality of the place its in. @jwxujerry If you're saying there are very few genuine Christians in the world, you're right, and that's why saints are saints. But I have met hundreds in my days, and more almost every week of late — not christian saints, but people who live without devoting their lives to the pursuit of wealth, and who practice what they and the good of the world preach. They aren't some sort of unicorn. Perhaps you are surrounded by bad people, or a bad culture, if you don't ever see them?

Just because you and the people you know are more familiar with one faith, that is nothing compared to the breadth of space and time outside your sphere. What will you do if upon dying you run into Anubis, or Charon, or a Valkyrie? Hedging your bets that way is a bad gamble and a disingenuous way to worship a godhead, and moreover, you're kidding yourself if you think the divine can't see through that bit. In short, don't be silly. Just because death is involved is no reason to throw logic out the window and cleave to silly notions

All this prosperity doctrine stuff (let alone equating wealth with wisdom and intelligence) is actively harmful to real religion, and is in fact anti-Christian and counter to what Jesus preached

@serisak This isn't really an example of Stockhold Syndrome. One accident does create the circumstances for that syndrome, especially with an animal. If anything maybe there's some selection bias making it difficult to blame something he cares for, but the horse doesn't seem exceptionally dangerous or in any way malicious

K9s dogs are victims of animal abuse, and have been repeatedly shown to be incredibly dangerous and overly used on Black and Native people. This is the opposite of cute, this is a class traitor normalizing the enlistment of animals in violence against human beings
