So in that sense it very much is a "second wind" for an ailing system, or a last act of a desperate bourgeoisie. No, competition between groups at the state level is not inevitable. The vast majority of anti-social behavior is the result of unmet needs and base wants. Scarcity and ignorance are the parents of most wars, with the remainder being the result of (ruling) class interests. All of these things are deliberately manufactured by Western imposition of global capitalism. We may not be able to abolish all conflict, but we can undoubtedly mitigate it well beyond the current status quo

I don't bother with leftist forums beyond what you're experiencing right now, because why preach or be preached to by the choir and all that. Politics are much better expressed with deeds than with words, or with better-organized words than are found in most subreddits if with words at all. And yeah, almost everyone on this website has hobbies and a bit of free time to devote to entertainment or education, hence why they're here. I put on vids about games in the background more than I play them, which I'm sure is pretty common. What isn't common, I guess, is having an account so old that my Likes are visible by default, and even less common that I haven't hidden them like most people do. If the scrutiny that opens me up to exposes that I find the medium of interactive gaming very interesting, I'm comfortable with that, even if the pass time is associated notoriously with a bourgeois audience. At any rate, that notion that anti-capitalists are somehow hypocritical for simply enjoying things sometimes is as silly as telling someone who wants life to be better that it's hypocritical to try to enjoy life, though I'm sure you didn't mean that either Anyway, have a good weekend

Yes, that's my point. People trying to make "white guilt" into some sort of Original Sin, or people trying to say that CRT just teaches that "white people are bad", etc―those people are deliberately warping and mythologizing the situation in order to discredit the simple acknowledgement of very real race and class divisions, with the clear goal of dismissing the notion that anything should be done about them. Once again, it isn't about demanding feelings of personal guilt, but about demanding personal accountability for the material reality in which we find ourselves. It's about demanding justice and a rectification of the societal ills under question. It's not about a crafting a useless misery cult of impotent white apologizers, which is in fact what the enemies of Critical Race Theory want it to be about for their own propaganda purposes

@aetherkid I am telling you over and over that the left does not do that, that is not in any socialist literature nor any CRT textbook, that is the ignorant, seemingly willful misinterpretation and mythologization that white supremacists want to paint it as. They depict it as essentially "reverse racism" because they are already committed to seeing white and non-white people as inherently at odds, ie they are already accustomed to "regular" racism. But moreover, they deliberately misinterpret the message because they understand that the supremacy they value is legitimately threatened by the actual message of anti-racism and anti-classism, the one based in a material understanding of reality rather than mere ideological, pseudo-religious nonsense about "good" and "evil" or any such thing
