@robokou "Certain elements of a group do things that seem stupid; therefore, my group is smarter." is not a logically sound argument, and yet it has always been a staple of Atheistic polemics. You're making a fair call-out in the first sentence, and then comedically doing that very thing in the second sentence

@robokou My friend, there were self-expressed atheists in very ancient Greece and Rome. Religion still needed to be taught in thr past, and there is no reason to believe 100% of everyone was a true believer. I mean, before the invention of any given pantheon or faith, nobody held to it. Atheism is not some invention of the modern age, it is as ancient as belief itself. And even if it were, that would prove nothing about its validity — are you also arguing modern medicine is illegitimate or inherently untrustworthy because it arose in the last few centuries and it contradicts many previously held ideas about the human body? Going on about "causality and biogenesis" likewise proves nothing about the supernatural one way or the other. I don't even care about the debate between the faithful and the unfaithful, I am disinterested in converting myself or others, and there is really no debate for those who aren't concerned with a believer's specific dogmas, anyhow. But I feel it is you who adopts outrageous polemic in your holy crusade against non-belief

There is no good argument against taxing religious institutions. "But charity" is not even remotely a gold argument, that's just tax evasion of the kind billionaires love

No, it is the euroamerican imperialist agenda. Joe Biden is no less aligned to such violence and cruelty than any rep. This is an America problem, not a GOP-exclusive problem, and to suggest anything else is to apologize for one half of the ruling class duopoly and to thus play right into their hand

My friend, even the libs are not properly aligned here. Euroamericans believe Manifest Destiny was a sin of our fathers, and wish to be held blameless — they have no understanding that Manifest Destiny continues to this day

I contend that this is exactly what religious thinking, paired with white supremacy, american exceptionalism, and imperialism produces
