This was a great survey of what I'm sure is a topic that could be discussed all day and then some. I rather liked your rather call-to-action style conclusion: "...the current trend suggests that Iceland may stand as a case study in the near future for what a secular country will look like after Christianity loses its historical dominance." Forgive me for admitting the prospect excites me!
