@baconatoromg6062 If we're bringing in the characters of all involved, Kyle was a white supremacist kid who showed up with a long gun prepared to kill his fellow human beings in defense of someone else's property, and he did so. We all saw the pictures he took with the Proud Boys flashing white supremacist signs. (Here's the part where a True Believer might deny that any of that means Kyle's a white supremacist, so feel free to go there if you want, but the deniability ain't so plausible here.)
What is interesting to consider is what would have happened had that the second person Kyle killed shot him first instead. They could have used almost the exact same legal defense Kyle did: self defense, feared for their life, weapon brandished, shots having already been fired―it would have been a very similar case, possibly even more airtight.
But I imagine you wouldn't be beating the same drum if that had been how it turned out, would you? Because all this isn't really just an issue of self defense, is it? It's about the belief that this kid was justified in killing the people he killed because of why he showed up, and because of why they showed up―a belief I very much doubt most who sing Kyle's praises would hold had the tables been turned, regardless of the defense in court being the same

@baconatoromg6062 That symbol has been used by white supremacist organizations for years, it's not any kind of secret, it's right there in their own pictures. I'm not sure how bringing up another, more overt white supremacist symbol changes that.
And yeah, the kid who shot an unarmed person dead, called a friend to report it, didn't call for help at all, and continued to patrol a car dealership, only to murder another person trying to disarm him, totally is the good guy in this story. Again, it would be interesting to see the shoe on the other foot, because despite all this bluster about "self defense" against unarmed people, we both know we wouldn't be having this same conversation, and you wouldn't be taking the acquitted's side
