  1. That's what I was thinking of, I couldn't place it, but you're exactly right. Honestly I'd be willing to wager that building was indeed used as inspiration for the Citadel, it even seems to fit the quasi-Orwellian theme they were going for. As a mausoleum it's artistically compelling, but as an actual occupied skyscraper, it's downright alien

  2. The panoramas honestly reminded me of stuff I've seen in Disneyland or even the Woodland Park Zoo depicting things like "Manifest Destiny" or the progress of seasons in a given biome. But most patriotically-themed murals of that nature tend to gloss over or even glorify some pretty fucked up stuff, of course. It's propaganda so naked as to be anti-intellectual
