  1. Those numbers about "innocent" deaths are so cooked it's wild. I'm not out to defend dictators, but counting deaths due to starvation from legendarily tragic blunders like killing sparrows while not counting things like firebombing raids that killed tens of thousands of civilians in single nights or the millions of Vietnamese killed in an imperial war against an independence movement is just bogus, to say nothing of the deaths around the world every day related to poverty caused by global capitalist inequity. Fuck state violence, fuck genocide and oppression, fuck inequality. But whipping out body counts and playing a game of "Whose is Smaller?" is just genuinely sophomoric, and only ever serves to reveal bias. It could just as easily be argued that capitalism has amassed a death toll which dwarfs all other forms of society by simply applying the same standards to it that are applied here to its opposition
