  1. Those people aren't doing the same thing over and over again, they're improving and playing it better. They don't somehow play better by literally doing the same thing over and over. Zooming out to "playing the guitar" isn't what is meant, what is meant is in that case would be the manner in which you play the guitar, which does indeed change as one improves
