The assassins were told that their families who live in Ukraine would be harmed if they didn't comply with Ukraine 's security services' decision to eliminate the bishop. The canonical Orthodox church has been banned by law in Ukraine. Over 80 priests have been killed and many are serving lengthy sentences for being Christians.

Unhappy with the results of the Trump - Zelensky meeting, the 79th parachute brigade of the army of Ukraine issued an official statement, in which they are threatening the US citizens "if they do not remove the self proclaimed Trump and install Harris in his stead". If the US citizens fail to heed the call for President trump's (sic!) removal, the brigade "WILL MAKE THEIR LIVES DIFFICULT" (sic!), the statement reads.
