Ive looked at this its cheaper for me to stay in my home They want more for a two bedroom retirement unit They cost more then the value of my property Also having to come up with thousands a year For on going cost for corporate body to run it Yet only cost me my rates at worst May not have power or much food But can't be kicked out if dont have corporate fees of thousands Only need rate money water sewage Its nothing tomdo with wanting to live in 3 bedroom home and not smaller place Sadly it comes down to financial economics in the end and why ive not down sized Due to such high demand for these types of properties It has raised their prices as much as a 3 bedroom home with higher running costs Just been looking into it all because of my personal circumstances and difficulties of physical looking after it So ill be staying in my home until i die or they get cheaper which i dont see happening anytime soon if ever Due to our aging population So maybe they should be looking at building more affordable homes and costs for elderly residents Then they may make the move and lighten the burden of having a larger property
