Mate don't do that with your savings Protect your home at worse they can live with you If you spend your resouces trying to save them you could loose everything including yours Then kids have no where to go especially seeing we don't know what's next with this government Other then their going to steal more money and you and kids will loose everything So protect your savings and home for your whole family's sake Even if kids loose their homes because it'll happen anyway if there that bad off now because it's about to get much worse So you need to protect what you own now and if need be liquid the others your family doesn't When the housing crash comes then they can buy again But while everyone keeps fighting each other for them they are only going to go higher and higher until you can't pay your mortgage It's a hard thing to do but until people stop paying there demands like extortion and hand them back and collapse the market only one way up for those extortion lenders and government's Please be careful all I'm saying is make the decision on financial matters not emotion and I do understand you want to do your best for your kids But the best thing for them in the end is they have somewhere to go if the worst happens otherwise you all could end on the streets It'll depends on where they are in their loans and if your help pays their property out if not just burning your finances and risk the asset that can help your home a roof over all your heads
