  1. When you fowl the opponent get a free hit at any ball From memory they only get one point like red but allows to clear area So can get access to the next ball plus the 4 points for fowl The reason its called snooker is the idea your trying to pot the balls But leave white ball in place for you next shot on a coloured ball then next red after When its a difficult risky shot they will rather miss potting the ball to leave cue ball in a safe space Which means make it as hard as possible preferably behind a ball or on a cushion to make it difficult for opponent Easy way to remember points of balls further the colours down the table more points then just remember what side yellow on As lowest point and first of the colours need potting after all reds gone Also you look back on your game the referee didn't place colour back in correct spot after potting as your white ball was in it location so it was place in next available spot on the table Yes very precise strategical game very much like chess with balls You need to know where white ball going to end after every shot They sometimes wont pot a ball because it could leave white in place for other player to clear table if they miss So rather leave cue ball in most difficult positions for opponent and hopefully they fowl then get free hit 4 points Allowing them better positioning of cue ball for other balls with free hit from fowl ball so lots of tactics The good players can spin the ball around another ball thats blocking them but rare for them to take the chance Look up a all time great Eddie Charlton a Aussie world champion i watched growing up when they used to show live But think pay to air bought the television rights so it disappeared here in Australian not many snooker halls left now Cheers mate πŸ¦˜πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‘
