G'day mate If you look Aussie drag truck very impressive twin v8 truck diseal linked together with 4 or6 turbo"s everything chro,Ed as well on both engines They made special tyres for it as burn them out in mins normal truck tyres They used to do burn out full length of quarter mile and longer if had enough tyre left as was s handful before making quarter miles because tyres where melting and no grip like driving on ice It was call bandag bandit after the company that owned it a truck tyre company bandag tyres For dragging wasn't the fastest vechiles because of weight but burn outs endlessly if could've kept tyres on it He'd have to do a few couple minute burnouts to didn't blow the tyres and keep control of vechile Same as we have super boats maybe different name now But special speed boats and theybdo a slarlem course in shallow water with mud embankments that fli0s boats if they hit them These boat are amazing and G forces it water rally is best way I can exsplain it still running as well Absolutely beautiful boats white massive drag engines and the jet pump they run ammount of water through them is massive Some race high powered outboard boat engines as well They have a co 0ilet as in rally telling driver the course and uses hand signals to show direction of the next corner Cheers mate π¦π¦πΊπ

G'day mate The trucks in early days use to only do two laps and have no brakes overheated so they power throttled around the track Also where manual at that time Later on use auto and used water spray on breaks to keep cool use to get through most of the race if careful with them It stopped because couldn't get tracks to race on as when they hit stuff it destroyed them guard rails saftey barriers Then the surface had to be capable of the wieght of vechiles tearing up the tracks They wiegh 6+ tonnes I was at one it hit the concrete wall with earth packed mound about 4ft deep Plowed through the concrete like it wasn't there and rook out about 2 feet of earth mound with the truck launching in the air and landed on what was left of safety mound Then you need big equipment when they crash to clear them These was some of the reasons I believe they stopped beside yhe costs of trucks 2ith lot of up grades from these older ones If you find some real early stuff they basically pulled them off the road and went racing Still had the big roo bars on the front fuel tanks on both side all the mud guards Which all got changed in later ones no front bull bars no,tanks on sides they kept getting hit splitting open no guards which James wheels u0 when hit by other's Tanks had to be mounted on top of the chassis normally behind the cab but other had in different areas for wieght balance Also new ones front ends modified low hung and engine was set further back for better balance But the front end and engine was up to teams if they decided to,do it But no guards on rear side tanks where compulsory changes as saftey like roll cages where changed as they learnt with every accident The nascars look different because they where Local vechiles Holden commodore and Ford falcon but had nascar engines in them and much lighter and smaller vechiles The promoter's cl9sed it up,as high cost of running it and being new here it was growing but not fast enough for promoter's to keep it going The race with funny car and drag car The funny car the parachute didn't open but the throttle was jam open and why it didn't stop and you could here engine revving I remember that when it happened went through gravel pit then saftey which is what unstuck the throttle and stopped after hitting the tree Cheers mate π¦π¦πΊπ
