The stock standard daily commute car was sold as v8 and 6 cylinders which was the skyline engine with 4 speed auto and they used to fly no problem doing 200 klms on road Holden's made a design fault when building the 6 cylinders They put their radiator in the vehicle with the inlet and outlet above and below with a baffle in between to make water run the length of radiator which the modern day vehicles use but the baffle use to fall off and water wouldn't run through radiator and straight through in and outlet boiling the water overheating the car before you knew it was happening and crack the head full length under the overhead cam start it happen so often their where no heads available so use to have to get them welded up at hughe cost gave them a bad name we use to have radiator removed every 2 yrs pulled apart to check and repair baffle and never had the issue like all the others did bullet proof engine Just a design fault from Holden's with radiator as all car companies never took responsibility for it or redesign sadly gave VL Nissan a bad name and from memory lasted 1 or 2 yrs
