On top of all that they've been driving for 8 + hrs as well here Then back in tired start organising the curtains gates straps So it can be unloaded then close all back up and abide by the sites ohs To leave and go get another load before can have a sleep If you do training courses they give you a certificate of accreditation for even longer hours to drive Anyone who thinks it's easy fooling themselves How tired are they on a 2hr trip not even doing everything else when you get to destinations One of the physical downside of driving besides putting on weight because hrs driving The common issue's is with stomach cancer's due to sitting on a full stomach everyday The ammount of drivers I know and spoke with that's had operations to remove parts of their intestines Due to cancer in the intestines due to long hrs sitting on them they can be driving and sitting for 16 hrs a day Hard work for little money never home if lucky 1 day a week and normally halve of one day and the next then health issues On top of the danger of road and work sites they visit I was storeman / forklift truck driver but only local so 8 to 10 hrs a day but got to go home every night way less pay then them But they sacrifice alot for not much more Without producers truckies store warehouse people the country stops and all some of the averaged payed So yes your right truckies are very important But also warehouse stores people and the factories who produce Nothing if any of these area's stop working and very under valuated by society Their big issue's about to come in next few decade's as not the people joining as older retire Because hard work average pay yet the most important to society no food Even water as mantiance materials to keep the pump stations are all trucked I believe why they're pushing driver less trucks as not the people in the industry anymore We already have them in WA mines runs from mines to warfs no drivers multiple trailers All controlled by people in the city office and the road was specially build for them Not open for public use the road is dedicated just for driver less road trains run 24 /7 Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
