  1. I think it is smart of Japan (also Canada, Australia) of main focusing on getting skilled/educated immigrants since those will integrate much easily into existing society.

  2.  @skp8748  I’ve heard similar thing from a successful Chinese businesswoman (a friend) whom has traveled the world but ended up sending her daughter to USA to live saying that she felt immigrants felt more welcoming then in Europe and some other countries. I still think that USA should focus on legal immigration since still not sure if those coming without much education or skill if their children would be able to climb the economic ladder and therefore have resentment build up of not getting the “American Dream”.
