That’s the problem if you want your elderly to have a good retirement then your working population needs to work hard especially if there’s fewer and fewer of them of course that leaders to less future workers.

I think most educated people that immigrate legally care more about working hard and becoming successful then their old culture/religion.

@smileyface2915 Yeah for most legal immigrants they need to have the skills/education to be qualified to immigrate and they will likely pass on those traits to their children as well.

The problem is that in the Black Death probably more elderly died off then younger people thus less burden on society. Otherwise it won’t work like you said.

@snickle1980 Yeah once US can’t or won’t get educated immigrants then it’s down slope economically from there. Educated people care less about previous culture & religion and care more about getting rich and having educated children.

@thesterwood6721 Yes but much of this is individuals deciding for themselves how hard to work or to have kids or not, Most Western countries that do not work so hard also have decided not to have many kids.
