  1. Even in USA main streets (in Southern California) during good economic times now (from last decade) I often see many empty storefronts probably also because of e-commerce.

  2.  @RayQ101  Pasadena…Old town trendy area still crowded but a lot of other parts of Colorado Blvd has many empty storefronts.

  3.  @stoundingresults  Media exaggerates smash and grab/shoplifting (not everywhere) otherwise the big retailers would still not be making so much $$$.
