  1. US should have good leverage over most other top semiconductor countries especially with Asian (Japan, Korea, Taiwan) ones since most of them depend on US for defense over China which often is hostile towards them.

  2.  @bigheadrhino  I agree but maybe they are worried about rapidly declining and aging population (which equals power) just like Russia.
