  1.  @chaosXP3RT  very different….Russia shouldn’t need much willpower or overwhelming technology to beat much smaller and weaker (even with western assistance) Ukraine while Germany did need it to beat much bigger Russia/Entire Europe. After this war Russia military power will be seen as a shadow of what the world thought it was.

  2. Maybe because Russia always has natural resources wealth which they can usually export (just like Oil Rich Middle East countries) without needing much cooperation with developed countries. Which means the leaders doesn’t need to modernize the ways they think and how society is run. China without as much natural resources per person needs to modernize the economy and have less direct corruption in order for the country to rise and become powerful militarily.

  3. But Russian average GDP is still 3 times Ukrainians GDP but is so corrupt and unequal that Ukraine still doesn’t want to join it.
