“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” is why Afghan is a mess.

I heard that it was banned in China since the CCP didn’t want to recognize that the Nationalist did most of the fighting against Japan.

Probably because they (Western content creators) think that there will be less interest in it (from Viewers from the west). I would like more unknown wars to be covered as well like this video (since much more interesting since others covered extensively already)

ken m don’t know too much since he died before I was born. He was with the “artillery” while fighting in Shanghai for the nationalist not sure rank. Eventually rose up to general (was born to poor family) and was sent to France China embassy (not sure when). After civil war went from France to Taiwan despite the request of CCP to return to China. Now most of extended family in the USA.

With the Cold War 2 heating up again this time with China being a major player. China already having a head start with focus and influencing Africa with $$$ (belt and road and other things) and building up relations will be interesting to see if the West can counter with recent engagement and commitment of $$$.

@pokefan34567 China will probably trade some of the debt for new property long term leased to China (maybe military base) and political favors/influence. If China has the money to loan all that money out then they can have some not repaid.

@copperpolice9650 yeah but seems unlike with #1 and #2 biggest economies going at it

@user-bm2px8pg3c well they lost a big chunk of their experienced and well trained army in Shanghai so had to keep doing a fighting retreat to over extend the Japanese. The fact that they did not surrender when in dire circumstances and eventually helped fight off the Japanese should count for something.
